Carlsbad or "Village by the Sea," is comprised of approximately 48 square miles of gentle rolling hills and approximately seven miles of beautiful coastline. Carlsbad is easily accessible from many cities including San Diego, Los Angeles, Encinitas, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos as well as many others. It is located 35 miles north of San Diego and approximately 85-90 miles south of Los Angeles. Carlsbad combines the old with the new as some of the buildings in Carlsbad date back to the late 1880's and the amusement park called Legoland has been a new addition to the Carlsbad community within recent years.
Carlsbad boasts one of the most attractive climates in Southern California and in the United States. The temperatures in Carlsbad range from an average of 58 degrees in January to 73 degrees in July. Annual rainfall averages about 10 inches with
most of the rain falling between December and March.
